Description

Bring enduring charm and pollinator-friendly color to your garden with this hand-blended wildflower mix, grown and harvested from my own thriving Pacific Northwest plants.
Unlike many short-lived “wildflower mixes,” this collection features perennials and reseeding biennials —plants that will return year after year with minimal fuss.
- Shasta Daisy (tall “Becky” cultivar, and a shorter “ruffled” cultivar)
- Blue Lupine
- Godetia
- Bee Balm
- Dianthus
- Canterbury Bells
- Columbine
- Cupid’s Dart
- Rudbeckia

You’ll get seeds for beloved cottage garden favorites like Shasta Daisy (both ‘Becky’ and a charming ruffled type), Lupine, Godetia, Bee Balm, and Columbine—plus others known for their resilience, beauty, and benefits to bees and butterflies.
Some bloom in their first year; others reward a little patience with unforgettable displays.
These seeds weren’t mass-packaged—they were grown with care right here at Seeded Garden. Every flower included has been successfully grown from seed in USDA Zone 8b, hand-harvested, and offered with the home gardener in mind.
This mix gives you a rich palette of textures, colors, and bloom times to create a pollinator paradise that matures and expands over time.
Quantity of seeds is about 1 gram. This will happily fill about 12 square feet. Consider sowing the seeds in a 2-foot by 5 or 6-foot row, alongside a sunny side of your home, fence, or shed. Would also look great in a 4-foot diameter circular planting bed!
When to Sow: Fall or Spring?
🌱 Fall Sowing (Recommended for Zone 8b and similar):
Sow in late October through January.
Seeds experience natural cold stratification, which boosts germination for many of these perennial species.
No special prep—just sow, press in, and let nature take over.
Great for no-fuss gardeners who want blooms next year.
☀️ Spring Sowing (For Colder Zones or Immediate Sowing):
Sow as early as soil can be worked—usually March to May.
Consider chilling seeds in the refrigerator for 30–60 days in a sealed container with moist sand or paper towel before sowing to mimic winter conditions.
Water gently and consistently until seedlings establish.
🌾 How to Sow This Mix: Simple Instructions for Success
Choose your spot – Full sun is ideal. Partial sun will still work, though bloom performance may vary.
Prepare your soil – Clear existing weeds/grass and loosen the top inch or two of soil. Rake smooth.
Scatter seeds – Broadcast evenly across the surface. Don’t worry about precise spacing—wildflowers love a natural look!
Press them in – Use a board, your hands, or walk gently over the bed to ensure seed-to-soil contact.
Do not bury deeply – Many of these seeds need light to germinate. A light dusting of fine soil or compost is okay but not required.
Water with a fine mist – Keep moist (not soggy) until seedlings appear. A spray bottle or fine rose watering can is ideal.
